Paradisi Research Retreat 2020

This year has started very well, the Nottingham cohort came to Bern for the first Paradisi Research Retreat. It has been a great few days with a lot of scientific discussions and a trip to the Alps for snowshoe walk in one of the most scenic places nearby.  We have very ambitious plans for 2020. We have welcomed Calvin to the group as a research assistant (and much more than that as he has been our guide on the trip and will be the ski instructor for Eimear, Stefy and Valentina!). He will work with Ana and David on a transaminase related project. We will also significantly intensify our resources on flow-biocatalysis with several new projects already started and a new PhD student (Lucia) joining us in April. The two final labs will soon be ready and our research area will be complete. Full unveiling to follow. For now we very much enjoy the new beginnings here in Bern.
